Oxford University Press
Since starting trading in 2007 the Authority File Ltd has been providing Consultancy and Development
services to Oxford University Press. We have assisted OUP in designing
their International Law Citator products and other editorial systems and publishing systems
for their Legal Portfolio.
The Authority File Ltd arranged for Tikit
Editorial Services to provide expert legal editorial services and consultancy to assist in the
development and specification of editorial processes.
The Authority File Ltd also successfully bid to develop the bespoke editorial system to manage the value-add
processes and to allow the linking together of XML content from disparate OUP
editorial processes.
The Authority File Ltd wrote the specifications, APIs and policy documents that allow a number of other
service providers engaged by OUP to:
- provide end-user websites and services that harness data from the editorial production systems,
- communicate with each other
- provide a rich end-user experience with the minimum of fuss
Focus was kept on maintaining a set of protocols which allow new service providers to hook into the
systems seamlessly and with the minimum of fuss; reducing medium to long term supplier tie-in and associated
risks whilst increasing the ease with which new products and services can be designed and deployed.
